Story
We’re both proud, born-and-raised Calgarians with a deep love for the outdoors—especially when it means escaping to the mountains. The Columbia Valley has become like a second home to us; it’s where we’ve made countless memories hiking, paddling, relaxing by the lake, and soaking in the slower pace of life. We share a passion for food, travel, and chasing new adventures together, whether it’s discovering a hidden gem of a restaurant or exploring a new corner of the world. These days, life looks a little different with two little ones in tow, but we’ve found a new kind of joy in slowing down and creating cozy, meaningful moments right at home.

Braeden is a remarkably talented photographer who has spent over a decade honing his craft. His deep knowledge of cameras and his creative eye never cease to amaze me—he has this incredible ability to turn the simplest moments into something truly beautiful. When he’s not behind the lens, he’s always on the move—chasing after our kids, playing hockey, or getting in a round of golf. He’s also a total car guy and can name every make and model on the road—seriously, he could talk about cars for hours (and often does!). One of the things I love most about Braeden is his natural ability to connect with people—he can sit down next to a stranger and leave with a new friend. But above all, what makes him so special is his huge heart and genuine kindness. I feel lucky every day to do life with him.

Rachel is an incredibly talented photographer with a gift for making people feel completely at ease in front of the camera. She has an intuitive eye for emotion and connection, and an amazing ability to guide people into poses that feel natural, effortless, and true to who they are. Clients often tell us they forgot they were even being photographed—and that’s entirely because of Rachel’s calm presence and effortless charm. Outside of photography, Rachel loves cooking, skiing, and challenging herself in boxing classes. She’s also an amazing mother to our two kids, balancing creativity, strength, and compassion in everything she does. Her warmth, patience, and genuine care for people are felt in every session and reflected in every image she creates. I feel incredibly lucky to build Park Photo—and life—alongside her.
